Research, Development and Breeding

Tohumu Kokler Agro seed farming continues its activities in corn and sunflower breeding activities that it started in 2009 with 1 Breeding Department Manager, 3 Technical Manager, 5 Breeders and 2 Product Development Engineers. Every year, hundreds of self-breeding, crossbreeding, pure line and variety development activities continue both under the conditions of our country and under other climatic conditions of the world and breeding and variety development activities. It is among our main goals to apply for registration of at least 12 new pure lines and 7 new varieties every year.

Our Milestones in Research and Development Activities:

1999: The first hybrid variety trials began.

2003: The first commercial maize variety was offered to the domestic market

2008: Breeding activities started on corn and sunflower varieties.

2015: Firstly, the sunflower variety AGA 1301, which is the research and development output of our company, was registered in Turkey.
